WHY APPLIED HEALTH & MASSAGE?
My name is David Lapp and I’m a licensed massage therapist. I received my training from the Harrisburg Area Community College’s Massage Therapy program in 2010 and have been practicing ever since.
My philosophy has always been geared toward being an outcome-based practice. I want to make certain that anybody that comes to see me leaves in a better state than when they came in. Whether that’s reducing chronic pain or relieving temporary muscle soreness due to regular exercise – I’m determined to achieve results. I focus on specific work more than general massage because it’s important to me that when a client comes to me, they know they’re getting massage techniques that are working particularly for them. Everybody has a different lifestyle and everybody has their own muscular issues. Therefore, everybody get’s their own, unique massage. With that being said, I also believe that one thing alone, isn’t enough. We have to be mindful of our personal wellness routines and what works for each of us individually. Therefore, it’s important to me that my clients try to achieve their own results outside of the massage room as well through stretching and exercising regularly.
A little bit about me: I’m not only a massage therapist, I also try to be very involved in the fitness community. I used to be a group fitness instructor at the Carlisle Family YMCA and love being outside. I’ve been a martial artist for several years and I also rock climb as much as I can. When I’m not doing those things, I usually have my nose stuck in a book or looking for something new to learn.
