Frequently Asked Questions

If your question is not answered here, feel free to contact me via email, phone, or contact form.

What is outcome-based massage?

The basic goals of outcome based massage are to reduce pain and increase range of motion. We focus on targeting the specific areas that are causing discomfort. Communication between client and therapist is essential to get the most out of your session.

Do I have to undress?

Because skin to skin contact allows me to use my full range of therapeutic techniques, I do recommend removing clothing for the areas you plan on getting massaged. However, this is never required - clients only undress to their comfort level. In all cases, sensitive areas are always draped with a sheet.

What additional services do you offer?

My additional services include:

  • Cupping

  • Hot stone

  • Aromatherapy

  • Massage Percussion Tool

All add-ons are included in my base price.

Can I get a gift card?

Yes! I offer physical gift cards that I’m happy to mail to you. Email me at appliedhealthandmassage@gmail.com to request one! You can also click the link above!

Do you have a license?

Yes, I’m licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Massage Therapy

License # MSG007496

Do you know how to deal with my issue?

Maybe! I have 13 years of massage experience, so it’s likely I’ve encountered your issue before. With that being said, if something is outside of my scope of practice, I have a comprehensive professional network that I’m happy to refer you to. If you would like to discuss a specific concern, email your name and phone number to appliedhealthandmassage@gmail.com so we can decide how to best proceed.

Will you come to me / do in home massage therapy?

Unfortunately, I no longer travel for massage and only provide therapy in my home office.

Do you offer chair massage for my employees?

Yes! I work with local businesses at a rate of $75/hr, with a 3 hour minimum. Email me at appliedhealthandmassage@gmail.com for more info!

Do you take insurance?

No, but I do take both HSA and FSA cards. You’ll have to contact your particular account to make sure they participate in massage therapy.

What’s your cancellation policy?

I respectfully ask that clients give a 48 hour notice for cancellation or rescheduling requests. I charge 50% of the cost of the session for notice between 48-24 hours, and the full cost for any notice given under 24 hours. Thank you for your understanding.
